What’s the role
Shell is seeking a Maintenance Planner (internally referred to as a Maintenance Turnaround Construction Planner) to join their team in Monaca.
This role is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating planned job packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects. These packages may encompass Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, project-related tasks, as well as activities associated with Planned Plant outages and turnarounds. To ensure effective execution, maintenance planners must foster and maintain positive working relationships with Maintenance Team Leads (MTLs), Block Coordinators, Schedulers, and/or Operations Maintenance Coordinators (OMCs).
What you’ll be doing
Develop quality job plans which are accurate and result in efficient work execution; these include necessary drawings, equipment instructions, procedures, pictures, material list, tool and equipment list
Create and update reusable job plans as needed
Estimate labor resources, material and service requirements, and associated costs
Procure maintenance goods, materials, and services including initiating requisitions, tracking purchase orders, and goods receipts
Analyze the execution of the job versus the job plan and compare labor and material actuals versus estimates
Conduct new equipment and spare parts inventory analysis, setup, description changes, and deletions
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Communicate to the engineering discipline equipment obsolescence and completion date deviations when required
Manage planner’s queue based on Work Order priority
Manage Work Order backlog
Embrace emerging technologies and modern work methodologies
Recognize cost-saving opportunities and report them to the Planning Supervisor
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Maintenance Planning or Execution
High School Diploma is required
Proficient knowledge of SAP and/or Primavera P6
Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging digital tools and platforms, including Office 365 applications such as OneNote, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Experience with iPads is considered an asset
Possess technical expertise in the discipline they will be planning
The base salary range for this position is $84,000 - $125,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
