Performs routine maintenance and repair services in more than one craft such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting. This position is more common in smaller facilities where the incumbent has adequate experience to do most of the work specific to that setting, but is supported by specialists or outside contractors as needed. Has a sound understanding of the maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Convert contractor work requests into maintenance work orders and assign them to appropriate external contractors.
  • Prepare and issue all required safety work permits for contractor activities.
  • Create purchase requisitions  in SAP to order parts
  • Contractor coordinator to ensure contractor compliance
  • Schedule and coordinate all contracted preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and calibration activities around production needs.
  • Communicate upcoming external maintenance and calibration activities to equipment owners and stakeholders.
  • Manage all external equipment calibrations, including tracking status and updating CCMMS records.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, coordinate outbound/inbound logistics, and return calibrated equipment to owners.
  • Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance performed by internal maintenance and I&E technicians.
  • Support SAP manitenance planning activities, including qork order time entry and master data updates.
  • Ensure all maintenance and clibration work is properly documented, reviewed and compliant.
  • Maintain complete equipment history files and promptly communicate any out-of-tolerance results or deviations to equipment owners and QA.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.  Associate’s degree in a technical field is a plus.
  • At least 2-3 yrs experience in a GMP regulated industry. i.e. manufacturing, pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Experience with CMMS & CCMMS software, i.e. SAP or Maximo, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of cGMP fundamentals.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft word, Excel, Access, & Lotus Notes.
  • Works well in team environment and with cross-functional teams.
