*This role is aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions (“Diamond Infra”) company and will be seconded from Dow to Diamond Infrastructure Solutions until January 1, 2027.  At that time, the role will become directly aligned to the Diamond Infrastructure Solutions Company. *  

About You and this role

The Maintenance Planner creates job packages from the work order scope which contains all of the information regarding required labor, material, and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work. You apply your experience in industrial maintenance or construction to develop plans for a broad range of work. You are an effective communicator who keeps stakeholders informed and builds relationships to eliminate roadblocks. You have strong organizational skills enabling you to effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. You are a team player that requires minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilities

  • Uses feedback from the person doing the work to optimize the work plans.
  • Reviews work order scopes for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper, if not complete.
  • Carries out field checks, when needed.
  • Prepares job package and inputs plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.
  • Identifies task activities necessary to execute job plan, and identifies materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks.
  • Identifies/solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.
  • Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment.
  • Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review, as needed. Creates, develops, changes, updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure Management of Change (MOC), as required.
  • Acts as an informal resource for less experienced team members.

Required qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma OR GED equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience in an Industrial Planning Role.
  • 5 or more years of experience in performing maintenance or construction in an industrial setting.
  • Day shift -- alternative work schedule (4/10's.)
  • Availability for weekend call and holdover overtime, call-ins, and plant turnarounds is an expectation of the job.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning using SAP
  • Experience in work coordination or as a crew lead

Physical Demands

Must be able to do the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, respirators, and steel-toed shoes. 
  • Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. 
  • Must be willing and able to work in such environments working in tight or closed-in spaces.
  • Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.
  • This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.  Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 285lbs.
