ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
Maintenance Planner - Day Shift Monday-Friday 7:00 am-4:00 pm
The salary range for this position is $ 60,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD Annual

Come join our Colonial Heights, VA facility where we manufacture Trojan condoms and Scent Booster 
in-wash additives.


ROLE SUMMARY:
The main responsibility of the role is purchasing MRO materials and non-inventory expendable 
supplies. This role is also responsible for daily planning of all maintenance work to support the 
production requirements of the Plant. Critical to these roles are the development of a strong relationship with the engineering team, maintenance team, Production Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisor, local contractors and vendors. This role will have a direct impact on our customers and is an important contributor to the production of a quality end product.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*denotes essential job functions):
• Review requisition orders to ensure accuracy of item specifications.
• Process approved requisitions, prepare purchase orders and send copies to vendors.
• Purchasing price research and cost analysis.
• Monitor the status of requisitions and orders.
• Verify inventory stock through automated system to validate that restocking is in order.
• Evaluate inventory reorder points and maximum stock levels are adequate for department usage; interfacing with the engineering department and floor mechanics. Respond to vendor inquiries about clarifying orders, changes in requests, delivery requirements and cancellations.
• Work with Consignment Contractor to procure high usage/critical parts.
 • Keep in contact with vendors to ensure delivery schedules are being met and to prevent missed deliveries.
• Resolve problems with vendors to expedite deliveries and to prevent stock outs.
• Prepare, maintain, and review material master data, info records, and purchasing files.
• Maintenance parts reporting on spending, turns, and other KPI’s. Daily review of outstanding work orders and priorities.
• Determines feasibility of work orders and receives approval to pursue.
• Obtains blueprints and/or electrical schematics for review.
• Organizes all pertinent parts, tooling and verifies equipment availability for all maintenance work requested.
• Utilizes kitting process to increase effectiveness Estimates maintenance labor hours and materials needed to complete work orders.
• Prioritizes work to be completed.
• Prepares requisitions and allocates material to work orders.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance and Production Supervisors on a continuous basis to ensure that the scheduled work is being completed and documented on a timely basis.
• Responsible for all preventative and predictive maintenance planning.
• Work Order development and tracking.
• Predictive Maintenance program development and implementation.
• Contractor management.
• Maintenance Reporting (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, & Annually).
• Assist the Engineering Group on engineering studies and projects.
• Work with Engineering & Maintenance Staff / Plant Staff to set and meet Plant goals and objectives
• Recommend new projects and cost reductions.
• Participate in the reduction of plant equipment downtime and plan corrective actions.
• Participate in team meetings with hourly and salaried personnel.
• Become a resource for hourly and salaried teams.
• Uses the SAP PM system and assist in training measures.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Associate’s degree 
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment performing maintenance planning activities and/or maintenance & engineering experience.

PREFERED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Prefer a bachelor’s degree or advanced training in a mechanical/technical craft. 
• Prefer experience with a manufacturer of FDA Medical Device(s), Rubber/polymers or similar products. Knowledge of GMP’s/QSR is a plus

• Excellent communications skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media – verbal, written, etc. 
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work with all levels of employees, departments, customers, and suppliers to accomplish objectives.
• Must have some experience in making presentations to large and small groups.
• Must demonstrate effective written communication skills
