How you will make history here…

To plan, coordinate, schedule, and assist in expediting corrective and preventative maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of equipment & infrastructure.

The Maintenance Planner will work to minimize equipment downtime and disruptions to production through proactive preparation, functioning as a key link between maintenance and production teams.  The planner coordinates with supervisors and technicians (resource planning meetings) to schedule work in a way that aligns with operational goals. This position requires balancing the priorities of different departments to ensure maintenance is performed in a timely and logical sequence.

What you will do…

  • Will assist in the continued development, implementation and the maintenance of a cost-effective Asset care and reliability Program.
    Will assist in development, implementation and the maintenance of a cost-effective Work Order System using SAP CMMS.
  • Serve as the point person in coordinating all work to be performed with the department requesting the work. With the Maintenance Manager, assures that the work performed is effective and appropriate.
  • Using the planning and scheduling status report (PSSR), the planner will Estimate labor, materials and other costs for maintenance projects. Estimate labor, materials and other costs for maintenance projects. 
  •  Establish and maintain written and electronic records for all departmental performance indicators and standards, including and not limited to all compliance related work from the safety, quality and asset care perspectives.
  • Create and maintain procedural manuals and documentation that outline standardized maintenance tasks.
  • Work Order Prioritization: A planner must analyze incoming maintenance requests, assessing their urgency against production schedules and available resources. This skill involves a systematic evaluation of equipment criticality and potential failure impact to sequence jobs logically, ensuring that the most vital tasks are addressed first.
  • Will understand and maintain focus on achieving the company financial goals. You will be expected to continually develop and implement ideas to reduce product-manufacturing cost, without exceeding budgeted dollar amounts.
  • Will rely on experience, judgment and ongoing education to plan and accomplish all goals as determined by management. A wide degree of creativity and flexibility is expected.
  • Will be responsible for supporting all Safety initiatives implemented within the facility.
  • Will be required to attend departmental meetings.
  • Maintain and develop equipment bills of materials.
  • Create and maintain miscellaneous maintenance reports.
  • Will be required to attend and participate in Plant Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What you bring to the table…

High school diploma or GED  

2 + years of experience as a general mechanic, electrician, or higher-level maintenance position.

It would be great to have…

•     Computer skills (Microsoft office)

•     SAP experience a plus

•    Preferred basic knowledge of equipment (mechanical & electrical).  

•    Basic math skills.

•    Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
•    Specialized vocation or technical education preferred.
 

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$77,100-$110,900

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
