Plains is currently looking to fill the position of Maintenance Planner for our PPTC assets situated throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In this role, you will be based out of Regina and will work with our Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical, Engineering, Construction, and Operations personnel. You will report to the Team Lead, Maintenance with responsibility for ensuring the efficient, effective planning and scheduling of short- and long-term maintenance activities. Your planning and scheduling duties will include regular maintenance, asset integrity, capital, and major maintenance projects.
Permanent residency within 100 km of the Plains’ Regina office is a condition of employment and preference will be given to local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Develop work plans, assemble work packages, and complete procurement in accordance with scope of work, manpower, equipment, and outside service requirements as well as instructions, assignments, and priorities set by the manager.
- Ensure compliance with the work execution management process (WEMP), management of change (MOC) process, and site-specific standards, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Coordinate work review meetings and manage priorities of work requests to support schedules and assure completion of safety critical and regulatory work as well as work prioritized by AMT.
- Review and evaluate original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommendations, historical records, job plan library, industry best practices, blueprints, schematics, and control and process documentation (e.g., piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams), to synthesize and integrate into work plans as required.
- Develop and maintain the job plan library.
- Cover for schedulers and supervisors and execute emergency response procedures as required and prescribed.
- Assist with the monitoring and tracking of maintenance KPIs and coordinate the various stakeholders to take action when KPIs are outside of target ranges.
- Assist with building good working / customer relationships with contractors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain records and documentation (e.g., service records, master asset data) and submit service requests and reports as required.
- Assist with audits and lessons learned as required.
- Demonstrate competency and assist with functional competency assessments as prescribed.
- Create, communicate, and revise maintenance schedules (i.e., 1-week frozen, 6-week schedule, and 52-week outlook) based on work priorities, production volumes, and resource and material availability as prescribed.
- Ensure compliance with the work execution management process (WEMP) and site-specific standards, processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Monitor the maintenance backlog and propose when to bring work into the schedule(s) in accordance with instructions, assignments, and priorities set by the manager.
- Monitor and review 90-day plans in relation to equipment stoppages, outages, and shutdowns as required.
- Coordinate schedule cycle meetings and integrate planned work into the master schedule(s) to optimize execution and assure completion of safety critical and regulatory work.
- Monitor work execution constraints and available work centre capacities and campaign periods; highlight / escalate potential constraints and assist with mitigation as required.
- Monitor work periods for specialist services and propose changes to trade mix to fit estimated work as required.
- Assist with the monitoring and tracking of maintenance KPIs and coordinate the various stakeholders to take action when KPIs are outside of target ranges.
- Assist with building good working / customer relationships with contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders.
- Create and maintain records and documentation and submit service requests and reports as required.
- Assist with audits and lessons learned as required.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience performing preventative maintenance in an industrial setting preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in a planning role
- Shutdown / turnaround experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of Maximo, Prometheus, or other relevant computerized maintenance management system with a background in reliability centered maintenance is necessary
- Demonstrated computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Goal oriented self-starter with excellent time management and communication skills
- Able to lead by example and positively influence a variety of individuals in a busy field environment
- Capable of productive and positive interpersonal interactions in all circumstances
- Permanent residence within 100 km of Regina
- Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks;
- Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy; and
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
