Description:

  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.

  • Mechanical repairs of patient/resident equipment (beds, wheel chairs, bedside tables, gurneys and other hospital and extended care equipment)

  • Service work – Including but not limited to:

  • Electrical repair or replacement of light receptacles(bulb/ballast replacements)

  • Plumbing maintenance and repair.(clogged stools, clogged sinks, etc.)

  • Kitchen equipment maintenance and repair of garbage disposal, dish washer, food carts and small appliances.

  • Minor repairs of building and equipment, desks, shelving and sheet rock repairs.

  • Inspection/Repair of both manual and automatic doors

  • Preventative maintenance – Including but not limited to:

  • Air Handler/Exhaust Fan Preventative Maintenance

  • Kitchen Equipment Preventative Maintenance

  • Pnuematic Tube System Preventative Maintenance

  • TJC Building Inspections

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.

  • Valid Drivers License, must meet Mercy's motor vehicle standards

  • Working Knowledge of basic hand tools

  • 1-2 years of general maintenance experience(preferred
