Maintenance Mechanic – Post and Fill (1 position)
Are you looking for a role where you can work independently and solve problems? Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment and machinery.
If you are a qualified licensed Millwright (433A) and hold a valid Ontario Certificate, then this is the role for you!
About the Role
Operate, perform preventative maintenance, trouble-shoot and solve complex maintenance problems related to various pieces of equipment including mobile cranes, palletizers, dock doors and levellers, material-handling equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Operate workshop equipment including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, saws, hand tools, and welders
Fabricating parts and installing machinery
Perform general housekeeping
Take a leadership role in maintaining and improving line productivity
Contribute to the overall performance of the maintenance department to meet customer satisfaction
Follow all safety and company policies and procedures perform other tasks as required
About You
Must be qualified as a recognized licensed Millwright (433A) and hold a valid Ontario Certificate
Successful completion of Canadian Millwright Apprenticeship Program
Must have 5 years industrial plant experience including work with cranes, rigging and hoisting, material-handling systems, hydraulic and pneumatic operated systems, welding, fabrication, and machine shop practices
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Must be motivated and a self-starter
Physically capable of carrying out all aspects of tasks involved
Must be able to work all shifts (Midnight shift 12:00am to 08:00am, Day shift 08:00am to 04:00pm and Afternoon shift 04:00pm to 12:00am). This position is primarily for the midnight shift
Must be available to work overtime, including weekend overtime
Strong oral and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to perform duties in a conscientious manner and ensure that safe working practices are followed in accordance with LCBO policies and procedures compliance with OHSA, WSIB, and WHMIS
