Maintenance Mechanic-JLL

What this job involves:

As a Maintenance Mechanic on our Tenant Services team, you'll be the go-to problem solver for a prestigious campus environment featuring two Class "A" office buildings. This fast-paced role centers on delivering the Gold Standard in customer service while maintaining the physical environment that allows our clients and their tenants to thrive. You'll handle everything from lighting repairs and minor plumbing work to furniture installation and general building maintenance, ensuring that every request is met with professionalism and efficiency. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Respond promptly to tenant service requests, including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems, and other interior maintenance tasks

• Maintain and replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts throughout the campus to ensure optimal illumination

• Perform minor plumbing repairs and assist the operations team with building equipment maintenance

• Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as requested by tenants and facility management

• Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and general maintenance assignments as needed

• Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, documenting conditions that may impact client occupancy and operations

• Respond effectively to emergencies while maintaining compliance with all safety procedures and regulations

Required qualifications:

• Valid state driver's license with reliable transportation

• Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work

• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, with a customer service mindset

• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and safely use ladders up to 28 feet

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with problem-solving capabilities

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

• Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail in documenting work performance and materials procurement

Preferred qualifications:

• Completion of an applicable technical training program or vocational certification

• Experience working in Class "A" office buildings or corporate campus environments

• Familiarity with tenant services operations and high-touch client service delivery

• OSHA safety certification

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

• Knowledge of State, County, and City building codes and ordinances

Schedule: M-F
