Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic will be primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and fabrication of a variety of production equipment within the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proficiency in various welding techniques and fabrication methods
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and safety
Diagnose, tear down, and repair problems or equipment on plant systems.
Utilize test equipment, instruments, measuring devices and controls, hand and power tools, and material handling equipment
Maintains workflow of maintenance work requests through SAP maintenance module
Track progress of work orders, work to close work requests in a timely manner
Develop specification and quote parts needed for maintenance repairs
Maintain a clean work area
Operates lifting devices as trained by Materion Safety
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
3 to 5+ years of mechanic experience within an industrial maintenance environment
Formal technical training is preferred but not required
Experience in a metals industrial setting preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Understanding of brakes and clutches
Understanding of working with plumbing, plastic, copper and black iron
Experience with welding/fabrication, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Machining skills to include lathe, milling, hand tools, and grinders
Ability to perform basic carpentry
Ability to perform stick, mig, and tig welding
Ability to work with a team with an organized and methodical approach
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, or crouch
The employee may lift or move no greater than 35 pounds
$30.50- $44.00 USD Hourly
