Role Overview:
At Huntsman, we are currently hiring an experienced technical leader to oversee the safe and reliable operation of all site assets, utilities, and infrastructure. Based at our Osnabrück site, this position plays a key role in supporting a stable, well‑established chemical manufacturing location.
In the role of Maintenance Manager, you will lead a dedicated team and drive the shift toward a more proactive, efficient, and modern way of working. The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with solid technical expertise and the ability to ensure compliance in a complex industrial environment. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can stabilize the fundamentals, strengthen the team, and continuously improve site performance.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:
Lead and develop the Maintenance team, fostering a strong, collaborative, and performance‑driven culture.
Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all site assets, utilities, and buildings.
Manage and improve maintenance, inspection, and repair activities to maximize equipment availability.
Drive the transition from reactive to proactive, LEAN‑oriented maintenance.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
Oversee planning, scheduling, and documentation of maintenance activities.
Work closely with Production and other site functions to support stable operations and continuous improvement.
Support engineering, reliability, and site improvement projects.
Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
Relevant academic background: degrees in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering are strongly preferred.
Several years of experience in maintenance management, preferably within the chemical or process industry.
Strong leadership skills with experience developing teams and driving organizational change.
Solid expertise in work planning, resource coordination, and technical problem‑solving.
Good understanding of compliance requirements and the safe operation of industrial equipment.
Fluency in both German and English.
Hands‑on, decisive, and able to perform well under pressure.
