The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance team in a multi-disciplinary working environment to manage the execution of planned maintenance tasks and the assembly or modification of equipment within specialism (Electrical, Instrumental & Control or Mechanical) and budget in a proper and timely manner.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Site Management Team Member who leads maintenance team with focus on safety and reliability. Confirms quality work is being performed cost effectively by the department as well as external contractors. Trains department employees with emphasis on safe, quality, and timely work per company and industry standards.
- Determines and schedules appropriate resources and skills needed to complete emergency, planned, and shutdown work for the site. Responsible for managing external contractors and ensuring that they are trained to work safely on site as well as competent to complete required work.
- Acts as Asset Leader for the site. Analyzes performance data and determines steps to improve reliability and cost position. Ensure compliance with local Legislation, Corporate, BE, HSE and Q requirements within the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plan (PPM) to ensure Asset Integrity. Ensures that SAP data is accurate to analyze data appropriately. Identifies bad actors to make improvements. Determines asset criticality to perform FMEAs, determine Preventative maintenance plans, and critical spares required
- Owns the MRO process and spare parts inventory to ensure that spares are readily available if needed. Analyzes spare parts usage and recommends upgrades due to reliability issues as needed.
- Provides technical support to resolve mechanical and electrical failures through troubleshooting and/or repair of equipment throughout the facility.
- Manages small site FAMEX or DtS projects as needed. Provides support for Capital Projects by advocating for the site's requirements and needs. Gives technical feedback to Project Managers as well as support during design and installation. Acts as Machine Safety Expert for the site to ensure new equipment is assessed appropriately before installation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) with 4+ years’ experience in manufacturing with maintenance & reliability focus, process support, or capex management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemical Manufacturing experience preferred
- SAP proficiency
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in E&I components with mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with related trades and tools
- Leadership Experience a plus
