Job Overview

This position is responsible for the execution and support of all maintenance activities which will achieve the

desired results in quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.Responsibilities includes technical activities on shift and assigned areas.The Maintenance Lead ensures the activities of the Maintenance Planners and Maintenance group achieves, meets, or exceeds assigned duties to ensure that plant equipment is maintained at levels consistent with company specifications.The position monitors performance against maintenance budget. The Maintenance Lead supports breakdown elimination by leading daily maintenance execution, improving equipment reliability, and driving fast, effective response to equipment failures. This role is expected to coordinate work, support troubleshooting, identify recurring loss patterns, and help improve equipment uptime through strong technical leadership and communication.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility includes technical activities on shift and assigned areas.
  • The Maintenance Leader ensures the activities of the Maintenance Planners and Maintenance group meets or exceeds assigned duties to ensure that plant equipment is maintained at levels consistent with Company specifications.
  • This position monitors performance against maintenance budget and schedules.
  • It is the responsibility of employees to adhere to all site rules, ways of working, and processes and procedures within that role
  • Position requires compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Timely Period Work completion.
  • Ability to perform all sanitation duties.
  • Team participation is required.
  • All other duties as assigned that may include but not limited to, overtime, weekends, and shift hours.
  • Ability to perform hands on maintenance function as required, work in office environment for extended periods of time, work in above standard temperatures for extended period, and on feet for extended periods.

Sanitation

Will ensure that the equipment and machinery he/she works with is cleaned and sanitized according to the Kraft Heinz Sanitation Program rules explained at the beginning of the employment and during refresher sessions.

Quality Assurance:

Ensures all products manufactured comply with the Quality Assurance Program and policies reviewed during the on-the-job training applicable to this specific operation function.

Safety:

Will follow instructions delivered during the training that explained the fundamentals of the Kraft Heinz Safety Process and will keep himself/herself and others away from harm while performing his/her duties. Will adhere to LOTO policy and procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

A Minimum of a High school diploma. Qualifications to be considered for this position include: attendance, prior experience and/or education and past job performance. BA/BS in Engineering or related field or comparable experience is required. Minimum 3-5 yrs. experience in plant engineering/maintenance/mfg. engineering and production is required. Possess an understanding of ammonia, electrical, facility, mechanical, and utility operations. Demonstrated ability to successfully motivate and coach others. Excellent communication and follow-through skills. Strong technical knowledge. 

Preferred Skills

  • Must have strong communication skills, computer skills, and plant maintenance SAP skills.
  • Demonstrated maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting ability in mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and technical drawings
  • Ability to prioritize urgent maintenance needs while supporting planned work
  • Ability to work required schedule, including overtime or call-ins if needed
  • Experience supporting breakdown elimination or reliability improvement efforts
  • Experience with root cause problem solving
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations and production teams

Additional Notes

Weekend, overtime, and holiday work will be required. Work on all shifts expected, Weekend and Holiday work will be required. Schedule is based on a 7 day/week production; therefore, workdays may fluctuate from week to week based on production.

Rate of Pay: $43.53

Shift Differential: $1.25
