About the Internship

Join the Facilities and Maintenance team at Collins Aerospace and gain hands-on experience in the digital transformation of maintenance operations.
As a Maintenance & Digital Systems Intern, you will support the implementation and improvement of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), assist with operator Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives, and contribute to the rollout of Condition Monitoring systems to enhance predictive maintenance capabilities.

This internship offers exposure to cutting-edge digital maintenance tools and opportunities to collaborate with the Innovation Hub team in integrating systems for smarter, data-driven facility management.

What You Will Learn

  • Learn how computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) are used to plan, schedule, and monitor asset performance.
  • Gain hands-on experience with TPM practices, equipment management, and reliability improvement.
  • Understand the basics of Condition Monitoring systems and their role in predictive maintenance.
  • Develop analytical skills by working with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Strengthen teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills through collaboration with engineers and innovation teams.

What You Will Work On

  • Explore and analyze maintenance data within the CMMS platform to support decision-making and process optimization.
  • Assist in the CMMS–CIMCO integration project, ensuring seamless data flow and usability for maintenance tracking.
  • Support and enhance operator TPM programs, improving equipment reliability and shop-floor efficiency.
  • Learn to collect and interpret data from Condition Monitoring software to detect potential equipment issues early.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Hub team to support the deployment and fine-tuning of Condition Monitoring implementation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities within the Maintenance function.
