We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join the Reliability team based at our Bentley site in Perth!
About the Role
We manufacture and distribute a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 30 farms in the Albany, Harvey and Northcliffe regions of south-western WA. The site currently manufactures in excess of 70 million litres a year including the state's number one flavoured milk product - Masters! Masters turned 100 years old recently, be part of an iconic, well known WA brand!
The Maintenance Fitter will report to the Reliability Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring all factory maintenance and service functions are carried out in an effective, efficient and timely manner. This role is fixed term full time for 12 months.
Please note: this position's roster will be comprised of four days on (2 day shift, 2 night shift) then four days off. All shifts are 12- hour shifts.
Key responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for providing Engineering support to the site
Coaching other team members on using and maintaining equipment
MEX – entering all completed tasks and booking our spare parts in our maintenance system
Ensuring all work meets Engineering standards
Support all BEX (Manufacturing Development program) related activities and initiatives, e.g. Focus Improvement Project, 5S, Teamwork
All work to be completed in line with food safety requirements
About you
Certificate III in Engineering – mechanical trade preferable
Commitment to making safety a priority and leading a safety-first culture within the reliability teams and across the site
Actively participate in the Bega people processes
Contribute to a culture that is constructive, professional, supportive of one another and with a customer service focus
A broad understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG industry
Intermediate knowledge of electrical control and instrumentation
