FTE: 1.0 Shift: Day Schedule: 8 hr shifts

Position Summary

The Maintenance Engineer II is an intermediate level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. In this role, you will ensure MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.

Responsibilities

  • You will be able to evaluate routine malfunctioning conditions, initiate and perform repairs
  • You will install mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with diagrams sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturers specifications
  • You will perform routine preventive maintenance
  • You will collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projects
  • You will partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess a City of Tacoma Chief Operating Engineer License
  • Minimum four (4) years experience working in at least one of the major building trades: Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, commercial carpentry
  • Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $36.78 - $49.52 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
