Job Details:
PAY RATE: $ 39.75/hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay and is paid weekly
SUMMARY: The Maintenance Electrical Technician responsibilities are the following::
Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and automated systems.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily maintenance tasks, planning, and prioritization.
Troubleshoot and repair sealing equipment, robotics, industrial slicing equipment, and meat‑injection equipment.
Utilize strong hydraulic knowledge to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
Assist Engineering and Operations teams with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems.
Support food safety, quality, and compliance in all maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and operate PLC systems, microprocessors, and electrical control systems.
Apply advanced knowledge of AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including bearings, gears, clutches, belts, and seals.
Utilize technical documentation, schematics, and manuals for efficient and accurate repairs.
Maintain records, documentation, and parts inventory for critical components.
Follow electrical safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Use SAP Maintenance to document work orders, labor, and parts usage.
Collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and operations personnel to support equipment uptime and reliability.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Experience:
4 plus years of automation and/or industrial maintenance experience.
Required experience with electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Experience in troubleshooting and operation of PLC systems and microprocessors.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency with Windows‑based applications including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong documentation and organizational skills, including the ability to use technical reference materials effectively.
Must be proficient in, or able to become proficient in, SAP Maintenance.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including hourly team members, management, government officials, and vendors.
Special Skills:
Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with all levels of management and operations personnel.
Knowledge and demonstrated skills in:
AC/DC circuits and industrial electrical systems
Electronic device theory and application
Mechanical system components (bearings, gears, clutches, belts, seals)
Troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to maintain accurate parts inventory and recordkeeping for critical components.
Travel: Minimum of 1-5 trips per year
Training beyond high school including either an Associate (A.S.) degree in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or experience which may include skilled trades programs or military training is preferred.
