Job Title:           Maintenance Data & Planning Intern

Location:           Salt Lake City, Utah

Mentor: Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose: This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. As a Maintenance Systems Data Analyst Intern, you will assist with maintenance, mechanics, and industrial technology, while developing professional skills in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Gather and enter equipment and component data into our maintenance management system (Hexagon EAM).
  • Create preventive maintenance tasks using standard templates.
  • Help organize our parts kitting room — labeling bins, arranging parts, and setting up an efficient layout.
  • Proofread and check data for accuracy.
  • Work with the maintenance team to support our site maintenance strategy.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this internship, the Maintenance Data & Planning Intern will:

  • Know how preventive maintenance strategies are developed and implemented.
  • Understand how to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Comprehend how to organize and manage parts inventory.
  • Have real-world maintenance processes in a manufacturing environment.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude or interest in maintenance work.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently once trained.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience with maintenance software is a plus but not required — we’ll train you!
