POSITION SUMMARY:       

This position is responsible for all aspects of equipment readiness as well as maintenance for all plant operations and building facilities. This includes the repair, upkeep, and maintenance of all facility equipment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts analysis of mechanical and operational problems on plant equipment, ensuring corrective actions are put in place and expediently carried out.
  • Maintains preventative maintenance program of production, including inspection of plant equipment and communication concerning inventory that needs to be replenished.
  • Maintain documentation, machine history, and all other appropriate documentation for production equipment, including records of tool and equipment use throughout the facility.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of Maintenance Repair Area and any other area where repair work is in progress.
  • Maintain the electrical integrity of the facility.
  • Fabrication, welding, design and other duties that ensure successful company operation.
  • May represent the company in dealing with outside contractors, vendors, and consultants as it relates to the maintenance of the facility.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to trouble shoot machinery, equipment, and tools – must be mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to set up mig, tig and stick welders
  • Must be able to mig, weld , tig weld and stick weld
  • Must be able to set up and use a plasma cutter
  • Must be able to set up and use a set of oxygen and acetylene cutting torches
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and safely using sound judgement
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and measurement tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate both written and orally at all levels
  • Must be able to walk, climb heights up to 30 feet, lift loads up to 50 pounds and perform such other physical duties as may be necessary to inspect all areas of the facility.
  • Ability to work outside, tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to loud noises
  • Qualified candidates must have a “can do”, positive attitude with flexibility to work extended hours and overtime depending on company demands

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Industrial mechanics and hydraulics knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Industrial electrical maintenance experience highly preferred.
  • Experience and general knowledge of construction standards.

You must be in your current position/department for at least 6 months.
