Maintenance & Calibration Lead

Contract Duration/Type: Full time

Location: Mulhuddart, Dublin 

Hybrid/Onsite: Onsite

Working Pattern (Time/Hours) : 39 Hours per week -07:30 to 16:00

Overview of the Role: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual to manage our black utilities hard services maintenance and calibrations for one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical company based in Dublin 

The Maintenance and Calibrations Lead is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and calibrations within the assigned area of responsibility and ensures all necessary resources are in place to deliver the required services

Day to Day of the Role: 

  • Day-to-Day Relationship with the Veolia Contract Manager, Veolia site team, Client Utilities Engineering and Maintenance team.

  • Oversee the scheduling and prioritisation of work in each area to ensure the optimum utilisation of resources, managing and coordinating work activities of a multi skilled team of technicians and equipment service providers to ensure maximum uptime of Utilities plant.

  • Key point of contact for escalation of any issues regarding plant maintenance and/or calibration

  • Ensure that maintenance personnel are proficient in the maintenance of existing and new equipment.

  • On time, implementation and execution of the agreed PM and calibration program in his/her area.

  • Plan and schedule PM’s, CM’s and calibrations and allocation of resources:

  • Liaise with end users to organise dates etc

  • Liaise with utility planners to organise windows & shutdowns.

  • Coordinate the external contract personnel based on the projected work load demands of each area to ensure there are sufficient personnel to complete the work required.

  • Operate according to approved Maintenance Task Lists, SOPs/EWI’s for site engineering, maintenance and calibration.

  • Periodic review of Maintenance Task Lists for relevant content and frequency.

  • Provide expertise and carry out initial investigation of events and problems.

  • Work closely with the Utilities Reliability Engineer to ensure optimum availability of equipment under scope

  • Periodic review of site and vendor SOP’s for proper conformance and compliance with client requirements, in conjunction with Client and Veolia utilities teams

  • Review and approval of all calibration certs and, where applicable, vendor reports

  • Manage performance of all suppliers in line with company policy and supplier agreement performance criteria.

  • Responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping in areas under scope

  • Responsible for review of equipment uptime, identification of root cause & elimination of repeat equipment failure.

  • Ensure that the CMMS system contains the most up to date information regarding equipment data, spares and maintenance man-hours.

Required Skills for the Role:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, Trade qualification

  • At least 2 years experience in a supervisory role

  • Good working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs for a wide range of plant equipment: Proven capability of working with Pumps, HVAC systems, Air Compressors, Steam Boilers and Steam Systems ancillary services, Domestic Hot Water, Refrigerant Chillers, Cooling towers, Steam Boilers, High and Low Voltage electrical systems, PLC’s, Building Management Systems, Understanding of Basic Instrumentation.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to read and interrogate mechanical/ instrumentation & process drawings
