Job Description
Job Summary:
The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer help ensure the long-term performance, safety, and availability of plant assets. You will combine technical engineering expertise with analytical problem‑solving to reduce unplanned downtime, improve maintenance practices, and improve overall equipment reliability.
You will be a bridge between maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to guide improvements that support productivity.
You will report to our Maintenance Manager located in the Dominican Republic Plant
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement strategies that enhance the reliability of machinery, utilities, and facility systems. This includes analyzing historical performance data, identifying failure trends, and conducting cause failure analyses (RCFA) to eliminate recurring issues.
You will also evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and introduces modern reliability tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication audits, and condition‑monitoring technologies.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, the Maintenance and Reliability Engineer contribute to long‑term asset planning. This includes assessing asset health, defining criticality levels, and forecasting equipment life cycles to support capital planning and budgeting.
Develop and optimizing maintenance procedures, documentation, and technical standards to ensure consistency and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
You will work with technicians, planners, supervisors, project engineers, and production teams to ensure that you complete maintenance activities and that you align operational priorities with reliability goals.
Participate in equipment commissioning, evaluate new technologies, and support continuous improvement programs such as Lean, TPM, and Six Sigma.
You will be responsible of maintenance and Reliability Engineer strengthens organizational performance by reducing failures, improving work processes, and ensuring equipment operates at your best with minimal interruption. Their work directly contributes to reducing costs, increasing operational stability, and promoting a culture of proactive maintenance across the organization.
Minimum Requirements:
1.Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
2.Intermediate English.
3.Manage PC, windows programs.
4.Requires 5 years of related experience.
5. Strong analytical and statistical skills for data-driven decision-making.
6.Expertise in reliability tools and methodologies (e.g., RCA, FMEA, or RCM – Reliability Centered Maintenance).
The Preferred- You might also have:
1.Professional certification (e.g., CMRP – Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional).
