The Mainframe Solution Architect is responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions for complex applications that are implemented on IBM Mainframe, but also including integrations with other platforms. They work directly with Application Architects and MF development teams to implement those solutions and assist in delivering them into production. They are responsible for communicating Architecture and Enterprise standards and best-practices and ensuring they are reflected in the MF applications and integrations. The Architect is proficient in the COBOL programing language, DB2 SQL and zOS. They have an understanding of basic Enterprise Design Patterns and how to apply them. They provide technical leadership across teams and play a key role in transitioning MF workloads to other platforms such as Kubernetes, and as part of a larger Digital Transformation and Modernization effort.
The salary range for this role is $170k - $180K.
