Mainframe Application Support Lead - Manager

The candidate must have 10+ years of experience in IT or relevant industry. This role is for a Senior Mainframe Support lead. In this environment, candidate is expected to work on application support, supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you need to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain production applications and environments.
  • Maintains and supports existing software applications.
  • Prepares systems documentation as needed.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage a small team and guide the team technically and functionally to get the tasks delivered on time
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies

High level of proficiency in the required programming language.

Core/Must have skills: COBOL, DB2, JCL , PL/1, CICS, VSAM

Highly Desirable skills: RTC, OPC, MQ, REXX

  • Support Incidents and Service requests for critical Mainframe applications
  • Prepare and maintain systems documentation as required.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mentor the team members, ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
  • Adapt to multiple priorities and learn new technologies quickly.

Technical Expertise:

  • Core/Must-Have Skills: COBOL, DB2, JCL, PL/1, CICS, VSAM
