Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Works with campus partners such as USPS, FedEx, UPS, and Amazon, as well as campus departments, to intake mail and/or packages each day. Accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork are all critical success factors given the significant volume.
Processes intake for each item. Unloads, scans, sorts, and shelves packages for pickup, delivery to customers, or placement in lockers. Counts and sorts mail. Weighs, scans, and sorts metered items.
Processes outgoing items by delivering mail and/or packages, or locates and scans each package that customers come to pick up. Carries a valid driver’s license at all times. Must observe all posted speed limits and drive no faster than 10 MPH in areas where there are none posted.
Provides customer service to staff, faculty, and/or students who need help finding or mailing/shipping items. Verifies proper identification, obtains signatures on handheld units, and uploads signatures to the master database.
Provides timely look-up functions for mail and/or packages using university and industry-specific software. Assists in maintaining accurate names and addresses in the mail forwarding system while complying with the US Postal Service's mail processing and forwarding guidelines.
Demonstrates safety protocols at all times and attends regular training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
