What you’ll do
• Machine Operation: Operate Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) machines including machine setting, operation, and basic programming to manufacture jobs within defined cycle times.
• Tool Management: Select, handle, changeover, and troubleshoot cutting tools and inserts to ensure smooth production flow.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure quality products are manufactured as per requirements with all relevant documentation, maintaining zero Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Production Reporting: Update Andon, Daily Production, CTQ, Breakdown, and other reports accurately to track performance and issues.
• Shop Floor Maintenance: Maintain 5S standards on the shop floor to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Technical Compliance: Read and interpret GD&T, drawings, SOPs, 1PL, MSDS, HIRA, AIA, OEE, and SMED to comply with manufacturing standards.
• Use of Jigs & Fixtures: Utilize respective jigs and fixtures for assigned jobs to maintain precision and efficiency.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
• Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel expected; primary work is onsite within the manufacturing facility.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
• ITI qualification with 3-4 years of experience in VTL machining.
• Proficiency in VTL machine operation including setting, operation, and basic programming.
• Strong knowledge of measuring instruments and ability to read technical drawings and GD&T.
• Positive attitude with strong listening skills, eagerness to learn, punctuality, and ability to follow supervisor instructions.
Nice-to-haves:
• Experience working with vertical machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as Kaizen, OEE, SMED, and quality control systems.
• Understanding of safety policies and active participation in safety initiatives.
• Experience working in rotational shift patterns.
