Start Your Machining Career with Ebara Elliott Energy!
This is a hands-on 18-month training program designed to develop future machinists through real shop experience and technical education. Trainees rotate through three machining areas while completing a 3-part online training program through Penn Foster.

5 Axis & EDMs
Hands-On Skills
CNC and manual machining
Blueprint reading and precision measuring
Machine setup, tooling, and program adjustments
Material handling (cranes, hoists, forklifts)
Multi-axis machining, EDM, milling, and turning
What You’ll Do
Work from drawings, work orders, and supervisor instruction
Set up and operate machining equipment
Measure, deburr, polish, and finish parts
Assist with CNC program edits and machine adjustments
Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
Qualifications – Machinist Trainee Candidates
Training program is developed to meet company certification requirements for production roles
Must complete both hands-on shop training and online testing
Formal training includes correspondence-style coursework with graded exams
Trainees who successfully complete the program will be considered certified to company production standards
This is an 18-month structured training program
Must be available to work all shifts and overtime, including weekends and holidays
