We currently have an opportunity for a Machinist to join our growing team. This position operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a starting rate of $26.94 per hour.
Job Purpose & Description:
The Machinist supports daily production by performing machining operations and contributing to continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone with foundational machining knowledge who wants to expand their skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret work orders and blueprints with minimal assistance
- Set up, operate, and dial in lathes, milling machines, and CNC equipment
- Inspect parts using calipers, pie tape, and other precision measuring tools
- Safely operate forklifts and cranes after completing required certification
- Follow all safety procedures and report equipment or safety concerns immediately
- Use hand tools and powered cutting equipment to fabricate and finish plastic components
- Perform HDPE welding using proper procedures and testing methods
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage tools/equipment
- Complete minor equipment maintenance and report major repair needs
- Provide occasional guidance to less experienced team members
- Support the proper use and application of IPEX products
Job Requirements:
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Basic understanding of blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, geometry, and trigonometry
- Working knowledge of manufacturing safety practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift and crane certification (training provided in‑house)
- Familiarity with machine calibration and part verification procedures
Working Conditions:
- Work performed primarily in a plant environment
- Requires lifting, pulling, and standing for extended periods
- Exposure to noise, heat, dust, sharp tools, and heavy machinery
- Variable work pace with moderate levels of stress
