Job Summary:  

The Machine Setup Technician I for Capping Equipment will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining capping machines to ensure efficient and accurate operation. This role requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Set up and adjust capping machines according to production specifications and requirements. 

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of capping equipment to ensure optimal performance. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with capping machines to minimize downtime. 

  • Monitor the operation of capping machines to ensure product quality and consistency. 

  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to meet production goals and standards. 

  • Maintain accurate records of machine setups, adjustments, and maintenance activities. 

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. 

  • Train and assist other team members in the operation and setup of capping equipment as needed. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus. 

  • Proven experience in setting up and maintaining capping machines or similar equipment. 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials as needed. 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. 

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
