Join Hitachi Energy as a Machinery Safety Technician and play a vital role in ensuring safe and compliant operations within our factory. This hands-on position supports day-to-day machinery safety needs, working closely with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team and Regional Machinery Safety Engineers. You’ll help maintain safety programs, verify safeguarding measures, and assist with risk assessments to keep our equipment and people safe.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Conduct and support machine risk assessments and drive risk reduction actions.
Review safeguarding and safety control functions for effectiveness.
Maintain documentation for machine safety, including validation records and inspection logs.
Own the Lockout Tagout (LOTO) Program and ensure accurate, equipment-specific procedures.
Maintain the Electrical Safety Program, including PPE tracking and labeling accuracy.
Assist with new equipment reviews and modifications for compliance.
Support incident reviews and corrective action planning.
Coordinate audits of LOTO, electrical safety practices, and machine guarding.
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Familiarity with machinery, safeguarding devices, and industrial energy sources.
Understanding of LOTO requirements or experience supporting energy control procedures.
Basic knowledge of electrical safety practices or willingness to learn.
Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
