In this role you will work with a dedicated, supportive team to ensure maximum production line efficiency while operating state-of-the-art laser technology.

Laser Operator Primary Responsibilities:
Access programs, set tools, operate, and troubleshoot laser machines
Interpret and carry out work orders, blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions
Perform daily machine maintenance
Shift metal onto and off machine
Work with technicians employed by machine’s proprietor
Set up machinery based on work orders
Perform quality checks on parts using tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and squares
Clean and organize workstation
Hours (subject to change according to needs of ongoing projects):
3rd Shift 830pm-430am
Laser Operator Minimum Qualifications:
Sheet metal fabrication knowledge
High degree of mechanical aptitude
Able to pass print reading, measurement, and fraction/decimal conversion tests
Able to read and interpret blueprints
Familiarity with sheet laser or tube laser machines
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
