Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient operations and the production of high-quality products. This role supports food safety and quality standards while meeting production goals.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate production equipment according to specifications and production requirements.
- Monitor product quality and equipment performance, including fill temperature, closure integrity, net weight, and label accuracy.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and established QA procedures.
- Ensure processes, work-in-progress, raw materials, and finished goods meet defined quality standards.
- Support and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Follow all company policies and procedures while ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Perform required checks and accurately document Critical Control Points (CCPs) in accordance with the HACCP plan.
- Record downtime events and production issues using appropriate documentation systems.
- Perform light maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment, including changeovers, minor repairs, greasing, lubrication, and fluid level checks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.
Experience, Skills, Education:
Previous Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience.
Understanding of production and plant processes
Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurements.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
Willingness to work overtime if necessary
Strong and efficient work ethic, detail-oriented
Compensation: $19.50 per hour
