WHAT YOU'LL DO:

HOW YOU BRING LIFE TO THE KITCHEN:

  • You'll be responsible for machine set-up both manual and computer driven machines.

  • You'll maintain quality production and safety standards.

  • You'll maintain high level of quality production by working to tolerance specifications of + 0.50 millimeters.

  • You'll learn to troubleshoot problems and make appropriate adjustments to recover as quickly as possible from mechanical failures.

  • You'll perform preventive maintenance on machines.

  • You'll review production schedules and related information and confer with supervision to determine material requirements, identify overdue orders and to track material/orders.

  • You'll monitor the status of all past-due orders.

  • You'll assist in the training of temporary/new employees.

  • You'll arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

  • You'll enter/scan data into RS6000 system.

  • You'll compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials. WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior woodworking, construction, manufacturing, or factory work experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work with a safety-minded lens.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand production paperwork and communicate with various departments and personnel to ensure all necessary workflow documentation and paperwork is completed
  • Ability to work respectfully with coworkers as part of a team is required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers.
  • Prior machine operator experience is preferred but we can train the right individual
  • Ability to program the machine/tool, adjust tooling changes, and perform tooling changes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to read prints/specifications and set up, tear down, and clean up the line.
  • General computer and mathematical skills is preferred.
  • Ability to follow our PPE requirements specific to the job , such as gloves, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.
  • Work in production areas with exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and ergonomic stressors while wearing required personal protective equipment. 
  • Perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive motion in a manufacturing environment.  
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds regularly, and greater weights with assistance as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • MEDIUM - Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, stretch, bend, squat, push, pull, twist, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to evacuate independently when the alarm sounds.
  • NOISE - Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds.
  • EQUIPMENT USED – Includes air-powered tools (sanders, drills, nail & staple guns) and other power tools (portable sanders, saws, drills, etc.). Must be able to wear required PPE specific to the job assignment requirements, such as gloves, steel toed shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.

STANDARD FIRST SHIFT HOURS:

  • Base first shift hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday-Friday.

STANDARD THIRD SHIFT HOURS:

  • Base third shift hours are 9:30 pm to 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Sunday night to Thursday night.
