The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic is now hiring for a team-oriented and adaptable part-time Medical Assistant for our clinic located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus!
As an MA at the Outpatient Behavioral Health clinic, you will work closely with a cohesive team in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment.
Our outpatient practice offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for most emotional and interpersonal problems for adults.
Psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions are provided via a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Through programs that treat patients with dignity and compassion, our patients learn to cope with life's challenges, return joy and serenity to their lives and learn to live again.
Conditions treated include mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and abuse, behavioral disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders, and developmental disorders.
You will work with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinical support staff.
You will be rooming, taking vital signs, reviewing medications, collecting urine samples, preparing and administering injections, and coordinating patient flow between providers.
You will also complete in-basket tasks, process orders, complete prior authorizations, patient phone calls, and referrals.
An ideal candidate will be confident, able to work independently and in a team environment and can be assertive when needed and have strong knowledge of boundaries.
You will also be open-minded, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
32 hours per week, Mondays – Fridays, around the hours of 7:45am – 2:00pm
The clinic closes at 3:00pm on Fridays.
Hours are subject to change based on provider schedules and clinic needs.

High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
New Graduates: 1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hours even with MA certification.
Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 Year of MA experience OR Current MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed below.
MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcareer Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA)
American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
*EMT and CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification. Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details.
