We are seeking a highly analytical LUX Controller to join our BMI Group’s Intercompany (IC) Center of Excellence. This is a pivotal role dedicated to strengthening global governance and operational excellence within our intercompany framework.
Reporting to the IC CoE Lead, you will act as the operational owner for Principal/Lux accounting in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring the integrity of financial data across diverse markets. What you will be responsible for:
Lux Accounting Ownership
Act as the operational owner for Principal/Lux accounting in SAP S/4HANA for each market Lux entity (e.g., LuxUK, LuxFrance, LuxBenelux)
Manage Lux activities currently performed in markets, including principal revenue/COGS, tolling charges, inventory movements, intercompany margin flows, freight charges and HFM reporting support
Ensure accurate period-end close for Lux entities, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and overall balance sheet integrity
Support intercompany margin and elimination processes in collaboration with Group Accounting
Maintain responsibility for Lux close sign-offs, including close packs and intercompany confirmations (VAT is out of scope)
Intercompany Transaction Monitoring & Reconciliation
Coordinate month-end close activities related to the Group’s operating model, ensuring adherence to finance timetables, processes, and control requirements
Monitor and work with local finance teams and GBS to resolve daily and weekly transactional error checks across intercompany flows
Prepare intercompany reconciliation files for jurisdictions within the Group model and investigate differences between entities
Take ownership of monitoring, matching and posting intercompany sales flows and coordinate settlement postings
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to intercompany balances
Operational Model & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Review transactional postings relating to the Group’s operating model to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency of financial data
Collaborate closely with Accounting, Treasury and Tax teams to resolve operational queries and ensure correct adjustments where required
Partner with Tax and Treasury on transfer pricing alignment, settlement readiness and statutory evidence requirements
Calculate and coordinate freight recharges across jurisdictions in line with the operating model
Governance, Controls & Audit
Ensure strong controls over intercompany transactions and compliance with Group accounting policies
Support the Group external audit process, including preparation of documentation and responses to audit queries related to the operating model
Investigate operational issues, identify root causes and support process improvements within the intercompany framework
Collaborate with NTM process owner to identify and carry out a programme of continuous improvement (CI)
About you:
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an international or shared services environment
University degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP); exposure to consolidation tools such as HFM is an advantage
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and resolve complex reconciliation issues
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with local finance teams and senior management
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement of processes and controls

The gross monthly salary for this role is between 3300 and 3700 EUR gross, with the final offer reflecting your qualifications and experience.
