[LTA-PT] SENIOR MANAGER, AUDIT & COMPLIANCE (BUS EXCELLENCE)[What you will be working on]
As Senior Manager, Audit & Compliance (Bus Excellence), you will lead a dedicated team to ensure that Singapore’s public bus fleet consistently delivers safe, comfortable, and sustainable journeys for all bus commuters. In addition, you will actively engage key stakeholders—including members of the public, bus operators and bus captains—to foster a strong sense of affinity for our bus network.
Your team plays a critical role in enhancing bus service reliability, commuter experience, and fleet innovation by conducting audits, driving effective maintenance planning, overseeing operational trials, and engaging diverse stakeholders. Your efforts will directly support the goal of making Singapore’s bus network a trusted, inclusive, and sustainable public transport that commuters feel proud to use.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver the following key responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Compliance: Plan and conduct regular maintenance audits to ensure the Public Transport Operators (PTOs) comply with Work Instructions, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)‑recommended regimes, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
2. Investigations into bus-related incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and implementing safety and preventive measures.
3. Review and evaluate the PTOs’ maintenance plans to ensure they adhere to best practices in asset management and are adequate for maintaining the public bus fleet.
4. Drive Continuous Bus Design Enhancement: Lead comprehensive improvement initiatives for bus design and onboard systems through strategic trials, detailed evaluations, and thorough post-deployment reviews to optimise fleet performance.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback Integration: Collaborate closely with Bus Captains, commuters, OEMs, and PTOs to gather valuable feedback and translate insights into practical, actionable improvements.
6. Manage Public Feedback Systems: Oversee comprehensive management of public feedback related to buses, identifying systemic issues and recommending targeted corrective or preventive actions to enhance service quality.
7. Support the Electrification of Singapore Bus Fleet: Provide expert inputs on the specifications for new bus procurement and conduct overseas inspections checks for the first article.
[What we are looking for]
Knowledge in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
At least 10 years of relevant experience preferred in automotive technology operations or related fields, including project management and customer/stakeholder engagement.
Familiarity with bus technologies, especially electric or cleaner energy vehicles, as well as fleet operations, is an advantage.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong passion for public transport improvement, sustainability, and enhancing commuter experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
