Responsibilities and Tasks

As an LPDDR DRAM MH BE Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in crafting the future of memory technology. You will:

  • Engineer Low Power DRAM (LPDDR) products that support Mobile, Automotive, and Data Center applications.
  • Develop and maintain test flows to ensure specification compliance and improve yield and quality throughout NPI and HVM phases.
  • Perform failure analysis through analytics, tester analysis, silicon characterization, and sophisticated data analytics techniques.
  • Apply AI and data-driven approaches to identify hidden patterns, correlations, or anomalies in test and yield data.
  • Collaborate with Circuit Build and Fab Process teams to drive and implement root cause fixes.
  • Validate circuit functionality and electrical performance across different operating conditions.
  • Support NPI activities, including bring-up, characterization, and cross-site handover.
  • Own LPDDR-specific validation items such as power, timing margin, IDD, and training-related behaviors.
  • Support yield ramp and issue containment during early production phases.
  • Lead or participate in AI-assisted automation projects, including intelligent data analysis, anomaly detection, or yield prediction use cases.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong electrical testing skills using ATE platforms.
  • Solid Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience in data extraction and yield evaluation.
  • Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts like classification, clustering, regression, or anomaly detection.
  • Hands-on experience applying data analytics or AI techniques to engineering or manufacturing problems is highly preferred.
  • A good understanding of IC build and semiconductor devices.
  • Proficiency in Python (experience with data or AI libraries such as pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn will be helpful).
  • Familiarity with LPDDR architecture and JEDEC specifications is a strong plus.
  • Experience in test data analysis automation, AI-assisted scripting, or intelligent monitoring solutions is helpful.

Multi-Functional Collaboration

Collaboration plays a significant role in our success. You will:

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing organizations.
  • Work with Micron Memory Japan and US Product Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Process Integration, Application Engineering, and Test Solutions teams.
  • Work with data science, automation, or AI enablement teams to translate AI concepts into practical engineering solutions.
  • Participate in cross-site technical alignment and handover between Taiwan, Japan, and other global teams.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Desired: Background in VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, Nanotechnology, or Data/AI related fields.
  • Preferred: proficiency in the language commonly spoken in Japan is advantageous
