The Security and Fire Alarm Service Apprentice will develop essential skills for installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining and repairing security, fire alarm, and related life safety systems. This role assists in ensuring all systems operate effectively, comply with applicable codes and standards, and meet customer requirements. Work may involve both scheduled service calls and emergency response.Learn and apply techniques for servicing security and fire alarm systems and related devices; dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as needed.
Acquire knowledge of testing and inspections of security and fire alarm systems under maintenance agreements.
Report completed work, deferred tasks, and items needing further attention or materials to management.
Communicate job status or completion with customers (installation or service).
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
No experience required; will train
Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the field of security and fire alarm systems.
Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely.
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
