Leads the Loss Prevention and Safety efforts within their assigned Finish Line JD Store. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:
Manages and directs work of Loss Prevention Officers
Holds responsibility for maintaining Loss Prevention staff levels, including hiring decisions, performance management, training and development, and disciplinary matters.
Completes Checklists to ensure compliance with safety or Loss Prevention policies
Trains employees on shrink reduction measures
Manages direct reports (Loss Prevention Officers) that are based out of JD Finish Line stores.
Builds effective partnerships both in the field and at Customer Central that can be leveraged to achieve the Company’s goals, such as shrink reduction, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence
Investigate known or suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud
Identify and report merchandise or stock shortages
Perform covert surveillance of areas susceptible to loss, such as loading, office, stock, and trash areas
Partners with law enforcement, court personnel, and Mall Management to resolve issues
Maintain case records on operational, security, and injury related incidents or investigations
Verify and inspect access points, physical security systems and equipment to ensure everything is functioning and in line with regulations
Report safety concerns or possible violations
Train employees on systems, procedures, policies, and methods of accident prevention.
Respond to critical incidents, such as catastrophic events, medical emergencies, violent weather, or civil disorders.
Manage attendance policy and assist manager in scheduling of store Loss Prevention employees
Attend and present during meetings with the Corporate Office
Works to create a culture of honesty and impression of control in the store
Recruits and trains new LP Officers
Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional 2 - 4 years of related experience in Loss Prevention, Security, or Store Management, preferably with some experience in a leadership capacity.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills:
Should have a basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office or Google Suite equivalents.

Pay range: $55,000 -$65,000 (Depending on Experience); This role will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401k, sick leave, parental leave, and company paid time off plan.
