The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading end-to-end site logistics operations, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound material flows while supporting uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery. This role manages warehousing, inventory accuracy, line supply, and shipping performance, driving results through KPI ownership, disciplined system transactions, and strong daily execution. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, cost and inventory optimization, compliance with EHS and trade requirements, and cross-functional collaboration. As a people leader, the role develops and engages logistics teams while supporting new product launches and operational excellence initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job purpose
Lead site logistics operations to ensure efficient inbound and outbound flow of materials and finished goods—managing warehousing, inventory accuracy, line supply and shipments—while optimizing service level, cost, and compliance through standardization and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead day-to-day site logistics operations (inbound, internal material flow, warehousing and outbound shipping) to support production and customer delivery.
· Manage warehouse and line supply processes to ensure right-part/right-quantity/right-time delivery to points of use and minimize production stoppages.
· Own logistics KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, DOH, on-time shipment, premium freight, dock-to-stock, picking accuracy) and drive performance through daily management and escalation.
· Plan and control inventory levels for raw materials, components, WIP and finished goods; reduce obsolescence and storage cost while protecting service level.
· Coordinate demand and production plans with Production Planning and Supply Chain to balance capacity, inventory and customer requirements.
· Oversee inbound execution (receiving, unloading, put-away) and outbound execution (packing, loading, documentation) to meet shipment schedules and carrier requirements.
· Ensure accurate system transactions (ERP/WMS), cycle counting, and inventory control routines; investigate and correct variances.
· Lead continuous improvement in logistics (Lean/Kaizen/5S, layout and flow optimization, standard work) to improve productivity, safety, and delivery performance.
· Ensure compliance with EHS, customs/trade (as applicable), packaging standards, and customer-specific logistics requirements, support audits and corrective actions.
· Manage logistics suppliers and carriers (as applicable): service performance, claims, and continuous cost optimization, including reduction of premium freight.
· Lead and develop the logistics team (warehouse operators, material handlers, shipping/receiving) through training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
· Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Customer Service to resolve constraints, shortages, and delivery risks.
· Support new product launches and engineering changes by ensuring packaging, storage, line-side presentation, and material flow are defined, validated, and implemented.
What we’re looking for
· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an engineering/technical discipline.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant logistics/warehouse/materials (e.g., shipping/receiving, line supply, inventory control) with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
· English proficiency at minimum C1 level (spoken and written).
· Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated hands-on experience applying Lean tools in logistics/warehousing (e.g., 5S, standard work, problem solving, Kaizen).
· Working knowledge of ERP/WMS transactions and logistics documentation; strong data accuracy and discipline in system processes.
· Experience with inventory control routines (cycle counting, root cause of variances) and maintaining high inventory accuracy.
· Good understanding of EHS requirements in a warehouse environment and safe material-handling practices (forklift license/certification is an advantage).
· Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
· Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
· Proven leadership: organize and prioritize work, plan resources, motivate teams, delegate effectively, and follow up on execution.
· Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
· High personal effectiveness, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
