Role Overview

The role is critical to the management of inbound logistics and customs clearance by maintaining the related process and system for customer requirements, business needs and internal stakeholders. You will directly report to local supply chain head and work with supply chain distribution/network planning team and warehouse team to coordinate day to day progress and status.

The main responsibility will be managing inbound suppliers such as 3rd Party Logistics Providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, customs bonded warehouse, customs agent in Country for supply chain between the supplying GDC(or 3PL) and the Country Local Distribution Centre (LDC). Key responsibilities below but not limited to:

  • Takes accountability for enhancing trade compliance to meet the local import regulation and regulatory requirements.
  • For effective supply chain cost management, takes accountability for managing end-to-end landed cost including duty savings through various FTA/ITA application.
  • Coordinate customs clearance closely working with internal (Supply Chain distribution/network planning, group suppliers, RA/QA, warehouse, etc.) and external (KMDIA, Korea Customs Service, Customs agent, freight forwarder, bonded warehouse, etc.) partners.
  • Supports Customer Service, Supply Chain and the commercial team to answer ‘where’s my stock’ related customer queries.
  • Coordinate export/return shipment to GDC, Manufacturer, Other SN LDC for rebalancing, trades, complaints, claim, etc.

Other supply chain operations:

• Manage day to day 3PL relationships, 3PL interface health and 3PL escalations related to logistics/supply planning

• Work internally with distribution/network planning, group supplier, GDC, Trade Compliance teams to ensure freight shipments and documents are complaint with the regulations

• Manage Customs Clearance with customs agent

• Manage Export/return for Excess stock

• Export Complaint, Repair, replacement

• Monthly landed cost closing and 3rd party payment including duty/VAT

• Manage regular/Ad-hoc customs/tax audit with annual duty settlement

• To always act in a responsible manner to avoid risk to self or to the company and comply

   with the workplace safety and health and security policy.

• Any other duties involved within the role and/or the tasks as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Education:

Minimum bachelor’s degree is required and major in International Trade & Business, Industrial & Management Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years hands on experience in Inbound logistics, customs clearance, supply chain

• Experience in ERP Systems (SAP, SAP B1) or equivalent and advanced Excel skill is a must

• Hands on experience in inventory management, planning, SCM is preferred.
