As a responsible Logistics Specialist, you will support the inventory and logistics needs of our engineering, maintenance and operational personnel, and will work in a friendly team to meet the needs of our
customer - the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Submarine Force.

Being supported by an experienced Senior Supply Support Team Leader you will work proactively across inventory management, ILS and warehousing to ensure we successfully execute, and strive to continuously improve in, the drive for greater efficiency in logistical support.

  • Support material management planning and scheduling, including analysis and procurement, repair and the optimisation of inventory holdings and locations. 
  • Support performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting. 
  • Meet customer requirements for both internal (Raytheon Australia functional teams) and external RAN Submarine Force, including stock level maintenance and fleet management. 
  • Maintain Raytheon Australia’s export control compliance across all Material Support functions. 
  • Being comfortable with technology and systems, you will maintain the data integrity of our inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of Collins Program requirements. 
  • Working with the Sourcing Team to ensure the efficient procurement and repair of submarine spares to maintain inventory holdings for contract requirements. 
  • Support warehousing staff to ensure efficient receipting, dispatching, stock control, packaging and transport, as well as meeting financial, stock-take, audit standards and QA requirements. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation or Distribution, or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 4 years prior relevant experience. 
  • Experience in Inventory, Procurement and or warehouse operations within a Defence or commercial environment. 
  • Exposure to Defence or commercial inventory management systems. 
  • SAP experience is highly desirable including MRP Controller or Master Data Requester roles.
  • Proficient user of MS Office suite.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analysis in order to remediate complex supply chain issues.  
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
