Job Description
The Logistics Scheduler is responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery while optimizing costs and resources. This role involves collaboration with various departments, monitoring logistics performance, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Monitor shipment progress and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
Implement logistics strategies to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics for management review.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Previous experience in logistics or supply chain scheduling.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
