About the Role

As a Logistics Operations Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading and supporting our Market Service teams, who are dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service on behalf of Global Brand Supply. This role focuses on empowering, coaching, and developing team members to provide seamless, cost-effective, efficient, and compliant service to our markets.

We are looking for someone who can champion innovation and digitalisation as we continue to transform Diageo’s supply chain for the future. Sitting at the heart of our global supply operations, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, gain exposure to multiple business areas and build strong connections with global stakeholders.

Role responsibilities will include:

Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Market Service Owners, ensuring seamless service from order entry through to delivery, meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships between markets, planning teams, and logistics partners to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

Carrier Liaison

  • Act as a key contact for shipping lines, ensuring smooth communication on capacity, shipping instructions, documentation needs, and timely resolution of any issues.

KPI Monitoring

  • Track and record reasons for order failures to inform KPI measures and drive continuous improvement.

  • Take ownership of corrective actions for any misses, particularly in order management adherence, working with stakeholders to prevent recurrence.

Digital Implementation

  • Champion the adoption of digital tools within daily operations, supporting and guiding teams to successfully embed new ways of working.

Productivity

  • Ability to identify productivity & cost saving opportunities within logistics, delivering against stretching targets to ensure business value.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about leading and developing people, building strong relationships and delivering great results together as a team. You don’t need to tick every box to apply. If you have the right mindset and transferable skills, we’d love to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:

  • A collaborative leader who values team success above individual contribution, with previous people leadership experience (direct team leader experience is preferred).

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Organised and adaptable, able to handle multiple priorities while meeting key business deadlines.

  • Experience working in logistics, export or customer service is a plus, however we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are eager to learn.

Working with Us

Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere. And creating an inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and that they can belong, is a crucial part of this. We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you’ll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. You’ll be part of and help build and champion an inclusive culture that celebrates people of different gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, educational backgrounds, experiences, attitudes, and more.

Our ambition is to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. Join us and help transform our business as we take our brands to the next level and build new ones as part of shaping the next generation of celebrations for consumers around the world.
