Inside the Role

The Parts Distribution Center (PDC) is a multi-shift, fast-paced operation that provides direct aftermarket parts support to DTNA’s dealer and distribution network across Canada and North America. In this role, you will work alongside highly motivated members of the PDC Leadership Team, supporting both short-term execution and long-term strategic objectives of the operation.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 CAD  

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Provide leadership and operational support to supervisory staff, including direct, indirect, and support functions within the Parts Distribution Center.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity and service performance.
  • Lead PDC Continuous Improvement initiatives within the assigned zone of responsibility.
  • Lead and implement DTNA’s TOS (Truck Operating System) processes within the PDC.
  • Analyze operational and statistical data to identify root causes of production or service issues and develop corrective action plans.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans based on production process analysis and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead PDC safety, health, and security programs, ensuring compliance with Alberta Occupational Health & Safety legislation and corporate standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian labour laws and governmental regulatory requirements related to labour, equipment, and facilities.
  • Oversee vendor management, facility equipment, and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain responsibility for warehouse layout, space utilization, and slotting strategies.
  • Develop and monitor departmental budgets and operating expenses.
  • Responsible for all inventory control and customer service activities to include credit/claim issues and returning defective material to suppliers.
  • In coordination with PDC Manager, establish, evaluate and communicate quality and through-put goals for each area.
  • Serve as primary contact for corporate and regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Engage in both tactical and strategic planning to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Act as Super User for SAP, DView, IMS, and other PDC systems.
  • In coordination with the PDC Manager, determine manpower/staffing levels, direct and indirect recruitment and retention.
  • Interpret Company policy and procedure for the workforce including conflict resolution between employees.
  • Facilitate collaboration and problem solving between the PDC and corporate functions, including the PDC Operations and TOS teams both located in Fort Mill, SC.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent with  5 – 7 years of relevant experience in a high-volume logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in distribution, manufacturing, or transportation.
  • Ability to coach and develop employees to higher levels of performance.
  • Knowledge and application of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools and principles.
  • Working knowledge of both Domestic and International Distribution concepts.
  • Familiarity with Canadian labour laws and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have 

  • Strong customer focus and previous face time experience with customers.
