Key Responsibilities

Review and understand internal metrics/KPIs and how daily tasks impact these metrics. 

Follow and adhere to established business processes.  Align operational process with Outsourced Logistics Operations providers and internal organizations.  Identify opportunities for process improvements which result in increased service level performance and/or minimize costs.

Support compliance and control to Quality standards by adhering to documented work instructions and QMS operating procedures.  Identify and participate in continuous improvement programs and initiatives.

Execute to wide range of inventory responsibilities to include MRB, cycle count, and inventory reporting.

Support research and data requirements for internal/external audit requests.

Manage inbound and outbound performance with Outsourced Logistics Operations providers

Prepares  files for import/export documents such as customs declarations, (SLI) shippers letter of instruction, SED (shipper's export declaration), IC (import certificate), etc. required for the lawful completion of import/export activities. Assists in ensuring that commercial and sales invoices are accurate in accordance with physical shipment and customer's SLI, quantities, value of goods, country of origin, and other regulatory requirements. Administers the efficient and economical movement of goods in compliance with relevant local, country and international customs laws and processes.  

Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.

Summary

The Logistics Operations is a key role within the Manufacturing Logistics Operations organization. Key responsibility of this individual is to drive operational execution & excellence in Applied Materials Logistics Operations & to achieve on time delivery, quality excellence, productivity and cost objectives. He/she will also be responsible for Logistics Quality Management System. This role will work closely with manufacturing, project managers, order management, trade, quality control, producing planning, supply chain and 3PL. Excellent communications, analytics and problem-solving skills are a necessity along with the agility to respond in a fast-paced environment. This individual will directly report to SGP Logistics Operations Manager.

Main Roles And Responsibilities

  • Managing Raw Material warehouse & POU (Point Of Use) located in SGP manufacturing plant, crating operations and customer deliveries & key focal for logistics operations and escalations.
  • Managing 3PL provider in the day-to-day executions, cost and performance measurement.
  • Drive 3PL towards effective warehouse capacity planning, productivity improvement and space optimization
  • Establish Key Process Indicators (KPI) and Scorecard metrics. Generate reports, maintains performance and drive 3PL on corrective actions and/or continuous improvement.
  • Responsible and drive 3PL to meet Applied Logistics Quality Management System standards. This is in terms of process definition, systemic problem solving, process audits and controls, reporting and training effectiveness.
  • Evaluate data against audit requests and ensure completeness of data. Assist the Organization Audit Focal prepare for the internal/external audits related to Logistics.
  • Responsible for warehouse inventory control (cycle count) and finance reporting meeting SOX compliance.
  • Develop good understanding of countries Trade requirements and ensure warehouse process compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance end to end material tracking visibility from manufacturing to warehouse to customer deliveries.
  • Manage building to building materials delivery effectiveness to ensure on time materials feeds into production or completed modules receipts into the FGI warehouse
  • Ensure compliance and controls to Applied Safety Standards & meeting Applied 6S metrics.
  • Act as logistics SME & partner with cross functional team in (PC Planning , Scheduling , Manufacturing, IE) driving manufacturing site wide initiatives / projects.
  • Analyze process & data performance, identify gaps & opportunities for improvement.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • SAP ERP (ECC & EWM, S4Hana) system experience preferred.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of manufacturing Logistics warehouse operations, vendor management, lean principles and capacity modeling.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to demonstrate problem solving through DMAIC, 8D and Six Sigma typed methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills across functions and multiple levels (oral & written)
  • Ability to demonstrate high sense of urgency and is highly adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PP, Notebook, & Access)
