Logistics Manager Denmark – Shell Biogas A/S

Management, strategy and logistics at the heart of the green transition

And do you want to play a central role in strengthening Denmark's green transition through efficient and sustainable biomass management? Shell Biogas A/S is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager Denmark, ensure strong efficiency in our logistics flow and ensure high quality, safety and stability in operations.

About the role

As a Logistics Manager Denmark, you will have the overall responsibility for logistic budgeting and financials, planning, coordinating and optimizing logistics flow across regions and production sites. You lead an operational team, collaborate closely with both internal departments and external partners, and drive continuous improvements in our logistical processes. The role is of great importance for our daily operations – and for the delivery reliability our business is based on.

At the same time, you will be a key person in ensuring strong procedures and standards across regions and creating a culture of clear follow-up and exploitation of synergies across the team

This position is based in Odense and requires on‑site presence at the office.

Your responsibilities

Management & Strategy

  • Lead and develop logistical teams across regions with a likely set-up of 3 Logistic Managers & 1 Fleet Manager in direct reference – you will help shape the organization

  • Create clear direction, ensure follow-up and support a culture of high performance

  • Develop and implement logistics standards that support logistic managers

  • Facilitate collaboration between Logistics & Operations

  • Optimize planning, transport and flow of biomass

  • Drive continuous improvements in planning, capacity utilization, and operational stability

  • Ensure correct data handling, reporting and operational follow-up

  • Design and optimize KPI tools that provide transparency in performance, capacity utilization, and operational stability

  • Ensure compliance with applicable driving rest time and work directive rules across the logistics team

Commercial & Relational Tasks

  • Strengthen cooperation with external suppliers, carriers and partners

  • Ensure clear and trusting relationships with key stakeholders

  • Contribute to the development of agreements and frameworks for biomass management

Contract ownership

  • Contract ownership for transport and logistics suppliers (framework agreements, terms and conditions) in close collaboration with Procurement and internal stakeholders

  • Support tenders and supplier selection: define requirements, collect bids, evaluate solutions, negotiate terms and ensure robust onboarding of new carriers

  • Follow up on contract performance and deviations through KPI reviews, governance meetings, and ongoing improvement plans

  • Ensure contract requirements support HSSE, compliance and legislation (e.g., driving and rest time rules, working environment requirements, and requirements for subcontractors)

What Your Day Might Look Like

  • Close collaboration with Regional Logistics Managers and Fleet Manager on planning, execution and follow-up

  • Follow-up on KPIs, safety, financial, quality and operational goals

  • Development and implementation of new workflows and digital tools

  • Close dialogue with Fleet Manager, transport partners and key internal functions

  • Participation in management meetings and strategic decision-making forums

  • Visits to sites to ensure operational anchoring and continuous improvements

We are looking for a person who...

  • Have solid leadership experience and experience for similar positions and the ability to create direction, motivation and results

  • Have a logistical background – e.g. from supply chain, transport or operations management

  • Work in a structured, analytical manner and have strong collaboration skills

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment where both strategy and hands-on management are crucial

  • Have a commercial mindset and can work relationally with external partners

  • Communicates clearly, transparently and with a focus on solutions

  • The role requires full fluency in Danish (spoken and written), as you will be working closely with Danish‑speaking stakeholders.
