KBR has been appointed under a framework agreement with the region’s biggest developer in Abu Dhabi to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth.  This includes developing essential infrastructure such as transportation networks and utilities, alongside public spaces and involving also the shaping of thriving communities by managing the development of residential housing projects and ensuring the quality of new educational facilities, together with the development of mosques and maximizing urban space through infill development projects. This PMC role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Abu Dhabi's built environment.

THE ROLE

Reports to the Programme Director, responsible for the implementation of logistics strategies and plans for Project Sites.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

·Implement, monitor and update the Project Logistics Management Plan.

  • Interface within the Consultants and Contractors relevant teams to ensure seamless Project operations and timely completion.
  • Overseeing the implementation of logistics arrangements on Projects Sites ensuring compliance with the approved Logistics Management Plans and overall allocated Project deliverables.
  • Oversee multiple Project Sites security and traffic management, and equipment allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with QHS&E requirements (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) related to logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with site teams to resolve logistic operations related issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Prepare regular reports on logistics performance and site conditions.

·Oversee the relevant Consultant and Contractor teams.

·Ensure that Contractors’ logistics management plans are in line with the requirements of the Project.

·Coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve all Projects Sites security and logistics issues.

·Monitoring and preparing the necessary reports on all logistics arrangements and Site logistics operations including but not limited to third party Contractors.

  • Lead and coordinate all site-wide logistics activities across multiple development plots.
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of Construction Contractors’ Project-Specific Logistics Plans (PSLPs), ensuring alignment with overall project and Employer requirements.
  • Establish unified logistics strategies, standards, and procedures applicable across all active projects.
  • Plan, review, and coordinate temporary site infrastructure, including offices, laydown areas, yards, parking zones, and associated utilities.
  • Ensure proper distribution, configuration, and maintenance of all temporary facilities to support safe and efficient construction operations.
  • Develop and oversee waste management practices including segregation, collection areas, and disposal processes.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental management requirements, noise and pollution control measures, and dust mitigation plans.
  • Manage access road maintenance and ensure all routes remain safe, functional, and clearly identified.
  • Coordinate site-wide access control systems, including vehicle permits, pedestrian routing, and logistics checkpoint operations.
  • Oversee site vehicle movement rules, haul routes, loading/unloading procedures, and traffic flow plans.
  • Coordinate security arrangements in collaboration with contractors and security service providers.
  • Ensure logistics activities adhere to local authority regulations, PMC policies, and project HSE requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders including:
    • Adjacent property owners and residents
    • Third-party villa contractors
    • Aldar villa contractors
    • Local business entities
    • Government authorities
    • Infrastructure and utilities contractors
  • Lead interface meetings and resolve logistics-related conflicts across different project packages
  • Monitor and manage all road closures, diversions, utilities interruptions, and logistics-related notifications.
  • Ensure all logistics operations are documented, tracked, and communicated to relevant parties.
  • Prepare logistics reports, dashboards, and updates for PMC and client leadership.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

·BSc construction management, engineering, architecture or equivalent.

·Minimum 15 years overall experience.

·Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.

·Minimum 5 years of working experience in Middle east.

·Knowledge of operational aspects of civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities with experience in construction management and practice.

  • Experience and skills of managing consultants and contractors.
  • User of MS Office.
  • Fluency in English language both written and spoken.
