Job Summary: You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Business Development Division, Centralized Coordination Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Major Duties:

  • You will manage, evaluate, and coordinate the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for major equipment and systems, ensuring functional organizations execute their portions of the plan.
  • You will conduct readiness and independent logistics analyses, projecting requirements for spare parts, test equipment, manpower, and training to determine total support required.
  • You will develop, monitor, and coordinate IPS plans that support the assigned equipment or system throughout its entire life cycle.
  • You will develop supporting data and technical controls to monitor compliance with milestones and performance criteria for assigned systems.
  • You will provide technical input to various inter-service, commercial, and other support agreements.

Qualifications: For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Assists higher graded specialists in Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning by gathering facts, defining problems, and planning and developing milestone and performance criteria for assigned items and/or services; 2) Preparing IPS documentation to include statements of work, material fielding, basis of issue feeder plans, provisioning plans, and other similar or related documentation; 3) Participates in developing segments of the Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning involving all phases of life cycle management, e.g., from conception, design, and development through production and deployment to final disposition; 4) Compiles information, defines problems, and proposes alternative solutions to issues addressed in IPS plans; and 5) Researching and evaluating logistics support concepts for portions of different projects. For GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Assists higher graded specialists in Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning by gathering facts, defining problems, and planning and developing milestone and performance criteria for assigned items and/or services; 2) Assisting with the preparation of IPS documentation to include statements of work, material fielding, basis of issue feeder plans, provisioning plans, and other similar or related documentation; 3) Participates in developing segments of the Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning involving all phases of life cycle management, e.g., from conception, design, and development through production and deployment to final disposition; 4) Compiles information, defines problems, and proposes alternative solutions to issues addressed in IPS plans; and 5) Assisting with researching and evaluating logistics support concepts for portions of different projects.
