The primary purpose of this position is to perform logistics management tasks that ensure mission equipment readiness, property management, supply management, maintenance programs, facility work orders, and procurement activities.

Major Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate contingency support, logistics readiness and execution, support agreements, materiel management, base support, sustainment, and logistics inventory control in support of unit logistics management operations. Maintain the Unit's property book and perform document control work in processing new and old equipment turn-in transactions. Coordinate logistic support with External Agencies, Air Force LRS, NSA facilities, Local Contractor Support personnel, Program Management Office and TMDE calibration lab. Work as the unit Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder. Coordinate with the local Force Support Squadron for Vehicle fleet availability.

Qualifications: In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband (NH-01), equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-4), or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Knowledge of commonly used logistic methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes, logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness and execution, support agreements and materiel management, base support, sustainment, and logistics control to support the unit's operational mission; Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, and work processes pertinent to installation programs/organizations; Knowledge of all areas of logistics, including supply, transportation, and maintenance operations and DoD logistics management software. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of commonly used logistic methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes, logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness and execution, support agreements and materiel management, base support, sustainment, and logistics control to support the unit's operational mission. Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, and work processes pertinent to installation programs/organizations. Knowledge of all areas of logistics, including supply, transportation, and maintenance operations and DoD logistics management software. Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors and formulating procedural solutions to problems. Ability to organize work, set priorities, determine resource requirements, determine goals and strategies to achieve them, coordinate with other organizations, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning base readiness. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to justify, defend, present, and/or advise on logistic processes/actions. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
