We’re looking for a Logistics Lead to join our team in Kluang, Malaysia. This is your opportunity to lead a high-performing team, optimize supply chain processes, and deliver excellence across local and export operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the logistics team and resources by devising clear work schedules and providing accurate information

  • Ensure all shipments, both outbound (local/export deliveries) and inbound, comply with company policies, international trade regulations, local regulations, customs requirements, and LMW licensing requirements, with strict adherence to documentation standards to minimize risk

  • Coordinate stock replenishments and optimize finished goods inventory across responsible areas, working with 3PL partners for warehousing, shipment, and transit time monitoring as per SLA.

  • Ensure goods pick lists are issued based on the FIFO principle and enforce warehouse adherence to it

  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule deliveries and pickups according to customer requirements, managing and controlling On Time in Full (OTIF) performance.

  • Lead periodic stock inventory checks and reconciliations to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and to maintain high inventory accuracy.

  • Initiate investigations into stock discrepancies, warehouse and logistics-related incidents, and complaints, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions to strengthen operational controls

  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics, warehousing, and transport activities.

  • Develop and implement improvement plans, analyse operational data to enhance efficiency across logistics, warehousing, and 3PL operations.

  • Support RFQ/P evaluation, 3PL/transporter selection/due diligence, contract negotiations and key performance measurement system to manage 3PL/transporter performance through structured KPIs

  • Manage and drive logistics and warehousing budgeting and cost control to ensure operations remain within financial targets while maximizing efficiency

  • Utilize digital tools, Power Bi and ERP systems to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting of logistics operations.

  • Provide training and coaching to logistics and warehouse staff to build competencies in safety, compliance, and operational excellence, encouraging continuous improvement ideas that eliminate waste, improve 5S and safety, and generate cost savings

  • Implement and maintain a safe and sound logistic practices that meets statutory and Hempel in house standards via daily Gemba Walk

  • Conduct regular risk assessments in warehousing and transportation to proactively mitigate potential issues

  • Lead and drive strategic logistics and warehousing projects, including Hempel for Excellence pillars, while driving sustainability initiatives such as route optimization, emission reduction, and waste minimization.

  • Prepare and present logistics performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement initiatives

  • Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork within the logistics function to achieve corporate goals effectively

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of logistics/warehousing experience.

  • Strong background in inventory management and replenishment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

  • Fluent in English with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
